About the RoleAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in defining and implementing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. You will also be responsible for managing non-conforming parts, supporting process risk management, and assisting in new product introduction (NPI) projects.
You will be:
Analytical and problem-solving focused, with a pragmatic approach to engineering challenges
Experienced in manufacturing engineering (minimum 3 years) with knowledge of MRP systems (preferably Syspro) and CAD software
A strong communicator, self-motivated, and proactive in process improvement
Able to work effectively within a team to optimize production efficiency and quality
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Owning manufacturing processes within a designated competence centre, ensuring all documentation (route cards, BOMs, technical records) is up to date and compliant with customer and industry standards
Collaborating with engineers and operations teams to maintain high-quality output, improve productivity, and drive process efficiency
Managing non-conforming parts by acting as the engineering lead for the Material Review Board, handling dispositions, coordinating concessions/permits, and overseeing rework processes
Compiling and coordinating FAIRs and supporting FAI activities when required
Supporting process risk management, identifying potential issues, and implementing improvements for assigned processes
Assisting in NPI projects alongside senior engineers, helping to bring innovative solutions to production
Problem-solving manufacturing challenges, ensuring smooth production flow, resolving technical issues, and maintaining a zero-harm workplace culture
Supporting tooling design and maintenance, working closely with the tooling engineer to develop, repair, and procure necessary tools
Providing technical input for estimates and proposals, assisting with data collection and supporting business growth initiatives
Contributing to special process improvements, working with process engineers to implement new technologies and optimize manufacturing methods
