Our client is a dynamic and innovative company specialising in product design and development. They are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Support / Buyer to join their team just outside of Royston.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and components necessary for their product design projects.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Collaborate with the sales and design teams to identify and source the products, components, and resources required for various product design projects. This involves researching suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of materials. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may arise
  • Client Management: Liaise with the client on the project when appropriate in a professional manor
  • Cost Analysis: Analyse costs associated with procurement, including material costs, shipping expenses, and potential cost-saving opportunities. Work with the team to create and manage budgets for each project
  • Quality Assurance: Help ensure that all materials and components meet their quality standards. Address any quality issues promptly and pro-actively
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and design teams to understand project requirements and deadlines. Provide timely updates on the procurement status and address any potential roadblocks.
